Whimsical While Poor
I would argue that you need some whimsy in your life. And you don’t need money to be whimsical! Enjoy some fanciful fun without spending a penny. (Sometimes we can’t even spare a nickel for our grandma.) Now here are 15 ways…
Greet the sun with a morning salutation
Gently touch trees and plants
Set a color of the day - for clothes, dishes, pens, etc.
Make yourself tea or hot cocoa when it rains
Spend time at the library
Use your nicest dish ware
Gaze out the window often
Display greeting cards you’ve been given
Eat meals outside when possible
Write a happy haiku
Smell a flower deeply
Display you favorite children’s book
Light a candle in the evening
Write a letter to a dear friend or relative
Sing a lullaby to the moon
Bonus: Designate a tiny part of your living quarters for a quaint and polite mouse family. Maybe give them a door, welcome mat, tea kettle, table, or a cotton ball bed…whatever you can manage.
I wish you luck. Au revoir!
