The Journey of Uncertainty
The truth is we don't know. We may posture like we have all the answers. Hubris and false confidence run rampant nowadays. But what human can genuinely say: "I’m sure about everything”?
(A lot of us are very familiar with know-it-alls.) Let’s not stress about those people. Let’s rest in the knowledge that our ignorance is an opportunity for great discovery.
Ultimately, uncertainty, or the empty space in our minds, leads us to be creative. We have so much uncertainty to work with. So, what’s holding us back?
Doubt. Wanting to fit in. Not wanting to be perceived as weird, even unvirtuous. Mental laziness. Fatigue. Survival mode. A bad diet. Poor sleep. Fear.
Let’s use our fear. Let’s create art. Literature, poetry, choreography, inventions, solutions, music, language. Let’s be storytellers.
Uncertainty means we have free will. Why not use it for something magnificent?
